Wellness Day – Relax, Breathe and De-stress



Do you ever dream of making the time to go on a weekend retreat where you spend the whole three days thinking about you!! With stress being the biggest problem and that most of us are too busy at work to make time for mental health and well being taking a whole weekend off just does not seem possible.
Our Wellness Day is a retreat Day! Time can be tight for most of us but a day for you is easier to plan into our busy lives than a whole weekend. This is why we continue to make this a yearly event on the PBS calendar. 
We like to make it different each year and we are looking forward to bringing a mindfulness element to the day this year.
Why not spring into a healthier you this year and come along to share this special Retreat Day with us.  £70 per person (please bring your own blanket & lunch).
Drinks and snacks are provided on the day.
9.00-12.00 pm Introduction to Mindfulness with Lisa Fisher (Counsellor and Mindfulness practitioner), followed by a 10 minute meditation, then a silent local walk, coming back to the studio for a warm drink and a healthy snack (included in the price), mindful activity and meditation. Please bring suitable walking shoes/trainers.

Selection 1:

12.30 – 1.30 pm – Legs Bums and Tums, this high energy class with fantastic music will motivate you to get your heart rate up to the level that suits you. Sue will take you through the exercises in a fun way that will hit the target areas. Please bring a towel.

Selection 2:

12.30-1.30 pm
STUDIO CIRCUIT MACHINES vs MAT – An adult playground, the machines are fun and help you improve muscle endurance. Rotate around the machines and a variety of mat exercises to help you feel the benefit that pilates can make to your posture and strength.
1.30 – 2 pm LUNCH (please provide your own light lunch)
2.00-3.30 pm – Emotional Essential Oil workshop – Learn how the essential oils can impact your well being. Which oil to use when you are feeling low in mood or energy. Make your own blend of oil to take away with you, to help relax and de-stress you.
3.30-5.00 pm   Spacemask Pilates with Genine – A one hour Pilates class to energise your body then 30 minutes of guided relaxation to help you focus on letting go of worries or stresses while enjoying this amazing eye mask. 
This is no regular eye mask but a self-heating eye mask that acts like a warm compress. Working to ease tension and encourage circulation, these masks aid in calming you down and relaxing your mind. Genine will also come around to help aid your relaxation with some hands on pressure points to release tension.
