Founder Genine
Genine Patrick is the owner and lead instructor at Pilates Body Studio. She began her journey into the world of Pilates in Australia, where she discovered the practice as a remedy for poor posture and persistent back pain. This transformative experience not only improved her health but also enhanced her performance, enabling her to complete a marathon and long-distance cycling events. In 2004, after earning her qualification with Body Control Pilates, Genine transitioned from her full-time role as a legal secretary to pursue teaching Pilates full-time.
With over 20 years of experience, Genine has dedicated herself to nurturing the next generation of Pilates instructors. She has played a pivotal role in helping many teachers achieve their mat and reformer qualifications while serving as a supervising teacher for Body Control Pilates for 10 years. Additionally, she also trained qualified teachers in the use of various small mat equipment too.
Genine specialises in assisting individuals recovering from back pain and possesses extensive knowledge of conditions such as scoliosis and hypermobility. She is fully trained in all traditional Pilates equipment and conducts weekly studio sessions focused on rehabilitation. Genine finds joy in teaching both Mat and Reformer classes, and her greatest passion lies in empowering others to feel stronger, move better, and transform their lives through Pilates.
"I love that Pilates meets you where you are and helps you improve your whole body at your pace—making everyday activities easier or enabling you to climb a mountain. Pilates isn't about how you look; it's about feeling stronger in both mind and body."

CHLOE
"I have always had pilates as part of my life; before I trained to teach I would practice pilates as part of my professional dance training.
I wanted to have a deeper understanding of Pilates so I decided to train with STOTT Pilates as a matwork teacher, then later added my reformer qualification.
I focus on both technique and joy of movement in my classes, hopefully feeling taller, and energised after taking one of my classes. I nearly always end with some balance work which is something I love to see people improve on.
Teaching Barre brings me a lot of joy as I love to teach to the beat of the music.
I am passionate about sharing my love of movement through Pilates, but I also really enjoy engaging with people and sharing a space to connect with each other."
In response to the things I consistently do as an instructor in my classes, I try to always remember if someone has told me something personal eg if they went on holiday ill try remember to ask how it was etc.
If someone is new, I always check in and ask afterwards how they found the class.
I always do some balance work at the end of class (maybe the dancer in me that loves this) but its become a part of my classes even if its only short.

Sara Anderton
I have a background in dance and fitness and completed a degree in Dance Studies at Roehampton University. I began my career in Information Risk Management and then as a Business Analyst. However, I soon realised it was having a negative effect on my mind and body. Participating in Pilates classes, I noticed a real improvement in my posture and wellbeing. Having always been interested in anatomy and body movement, I enjoyed witnessing and understanding how Pilates could help with maintaining and improving general health and alleviating injuries. With this interest, I started my Pilates training at Body Control Pilates in London and qualified in 2016. I am enthusiastic about teaching and working with different bodies, helping people to benefit from this full mind and body work out. As Joseph Pilates said, “The acquirement and enjoyment of physical well being, mental calm and spiritual peace are priceless to their possessors”.
I have a passion for knowledge and enjoy learning, so continue to undertake courses to improve my movement and body understanding, which in turn supports and enhances my teaching.
I am a member of the Body Control Pilates Association and Academy. I am also a qualified Pre and Post Natal Pilates teacher.

She is also a qualified sports massage therapist working within football. You can attend her classes knowing you’ll feel stretched, stronger and more relaxed.

MONICA
Movement has always been my language—a practice that connects body, mind, and breath with presence and intention.
My Pilates journey began nearly 30 years ago. What started as a personal practice has evolved into a lifelong passion for helping others move with greater strength, awareness, and ease.
I am a certified Mat and STOTT Reformer Pilates instructor, with additional training in Barre, Fascia Movement, and the full Pilates studio repertoire, including Cadillac, Chair, and Ladder Barrel.
My teaching blends contemporary movement science with years of experience in mindful movement and meditation, creating sessions that are both strengthening and restorative.
I work with clients of all abilities, from complete beginners to those recovering from injury and experienced movers looking to refine their practice.
I believe movement is about more than exercise , it's a way of reconnecting with yourself. My aim is to create a calm, supportive space where you can move with intention, develop trust in your body, and experience the lasting benefits of mindful movement, both in and beyond the studio.
