Self Care means you can give people the best of you, not what is left of you!

As the days get lighter and the glimmer of spring is visible, we would usually begin to look forward to our yearly Wellness Day.  As it is uncertain as to when and how we will be able to open the Studio to run this well received event, we are delighted to announce we have planned our first ever Virtual Wellness Day on Sunday 21st March, this is a perfect gift to yourself or a Mother’s Day gift.

A Day Retreat to focus on you during these uncertain times, it is more important than ever to consider your self care.  This is basically spending time doing what you enjoy doing.  Whether that is spending the day in your PJ’s, watching Netflix or taking a bath.  Or spending this day with us!

What to Expect: 

12 pm – 12.45 pm Mindful Walk with Lisa Fisher

You will need to take your phone and headphones on a short walk from your house, you could also walk in your garden or home.  Lisa will guide you through a mediation and then introduce you to mindful walking.

12.45-1pm Mindful Eating with Lisa Fisher

While sitting comfortably at home with a healthy snack to hand, Lisa will guide you how to mindfully eat.

1-.2.30 pm Mindful Art with Lisa Fisher

Taking time to connect to your inner child, Lisa will guide you into some simple art exercises like doodles and mandalas.

All you will need is some paper, pen or a pencil.  However, you can have paints, glue, glitter or colourful pens/pencils too.

3.00-4.00 pm An Introduction into 5Rhythms 

A soul journey, by moving the body, releasing the heart, and freeing the mind, one can connect to the essence of the soul, the source of inspiration in which an individual has unlimited possibility and potential.

Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, Stillness – are states of being.  We will listen to these 5 Rhythms together and be guided through the tracks by a recording to concentrate on the connection of the feet to the earth as we move freely around our homes. Dance with your eyes closed or camera off, followed by a meditation.

4.30-5.30 pm Release your Inner Ballerina with Holly 

Holly is a professional dancer who has created her own fun Barre class. Which follows a traditional ballet class – Barre, Centre and then Floor Work. Enjoy the challenge of core and leg strengthening moves from the comfort of your own home.

8.30-9.30 pm Candlelight Pilates with Genine 

This restorative class will ease any stress or tension physically with gentle Pilates stretches. Followed by a candlelight gazing relaxation to help you come away from the fight and flight we so often find ourselves in then easing you into rest and digest, gently soothing your nervous system.
