The Miracle Morning – How do you start your morning? I am terrible for hitting snooze and then getting up late and rushing around like a crazy person 😊 Sound familiar? If that serves you well and you are happy then there is no need to make a change. However, if you are like me and feel like you want to make a change. I would love to share some changes I have made to my morning because of this book. Firstly, set my alarm one hour earlier than I need to get up (so I have time for me before my Son gets up), the alarm is better away from the side of my bed so it makes me get up to turn it off. The book teaches you about Life S.A.V.E.R.S and how you can easily add them to your morning. You can start small and do each one for a few minutes and then build to your hour.

SILENCE - Meditation. I like to listen to an Insight timer. So many free meditations here
AFFIRMATIONS – In the book it really helps you be clear with these. My current affirmation is – I am 100% committed to exercising 3-4 times a week to stay fit and healthy so I can look after my son and my business.
VISUALISATION – I visualise myself exercising and getting stronger.
EXERCISE – I choose how I feel on the day 10 minute yoga or pilates routine, HITT or Swim
READING – I often fall asleep reading so I have been trying to read 3-5 pages a day in the morning.
SCRIBLING – Journaling, writing the things I am grateful for, anything that is on my mind. A time for reflection.

It is a parenting book, but it can be used for self-development too. I think it is important to take from it what you want and need. I would love to know if you have any other books, you have read which have made an impact into your life. #miraclemorning #lifesavers #startyourdayright

Before becoming a Pilates teacher I was a legal secretary. To train as a pilates teacher was a real challenge, out of my comfort zone and back in the learning seat. It was just a hobby at the time, I never knew it would be my full-time job, and that I would find so much joy in teaching. As a teacher it is important to keep learning and I love going to pilates courses to further my education. But recently I decided to learn something new, just for ME! (It felt so good to switch off, concentrate and relax while learning) This was made even easier by the fabulous Paula. Some of you may know Paula of Old Bexley Soaps. She sells fabulous soaps, candles and reed diffusers but her real passion has been found in teaching others. I attended her Beginners Soap making course at Freemantle Hall in the village. Paula made the science to soap making easy and allowed you to get your creativity flowing. She loves what she does, and it shines through. What would you like to learn? Have you tried our new Reformer Room? Eight Reformers in a light and spacious room. We have three levels to choose from. Basic = Beginner to Intermediate, Standard = Intermediate to Advance, Dynamic = Advanced/High Intensity. We recommend you start with the Basic class before moving up. Even if you have done Pilates for many years, we want you to understand and get to know the Reformer. Say Hi to Lucy – You can join Lucy on Monday evenings for Endurolates= Cardio + Pilates at 7 pm or 8.10 pm Mixed Ability Pilates. You can also enjoy Lucy’s monthly Movement Experiences which are held at Pilates Body Studio. Lucy will guide you into mindful movement and meditation while enjoying essential oils.

As a busy working Mum I like to prioritise me in the morning, before the day runs away with me. In case of an emergency on a plane, there is reason you need to put your mask on first! If you can’t breathe you can’t help others. My go to mornings are Pilates, Yoga, Swimming, weight training and meditation. I like to make my breakfast the night before to save time on the busy days. My Fav quick breakfast is overnight soaked oats, I like to make sure I add some protein and healthy fats to this so it keeps me full until lunch. School Run time, I like to park 10 minutes away from the school when I can so we both get some fresh air. It’s then into work to practise my lesson plan for the class I am about to teach. As a small business owner, it is important to make time to work on the business too. Relax and Recharge at our Pilates Retreat Day
Are you in need of recharging your mind, body, and soul? Are you unable to attend a 3-5 day retreat but long to feel the benefits of immersing yourself with like-minded people in a calm, beautiful environment? Look no further, Ananda Wellness & Pilates Body Studio are teaming up to bring you a Pilates Retreat Day at the beautiful Nurstead Court, Meopham, Kent.

We will share our teaching skills in a 1.5 hour Pilates class. Challenging you with loop and resistance bands. Then a short silent walk to take in the stunning natural surroundings. You will then be taken on a Sound Journey with Spirit Shift to calm your nervous system.
There will be a creative Art Workshop session where you can mindfully create a gift to take home. We will end the day with Restorative Pilates using spikey balls and foam rollers to massage away any remaining tension including deep stretching with bolsters.
This day has been designed to help you come away from the fight and flight mode we so often find ourselves in. Relax and Recharge with us.

What To Bring and Wear

I recommend that you bring
∞ Yoga mat
∞ Lunch
∞ A mug
∞ Bolster and blocks (If you don’t have any, ask to borrow some!)
∞ Blankets
∞ Wear layers and comfortable clothes you can move in.
∞ Walking boots or wellies if the weather has not been great.
